The Consumer Electronics Show or CES has certainly not dissappointed us in terms of the 4K showings.  Manufacturers from the standard consumer electronics side of things, to computer manufacturers are in abundance touting their wares.  Camera wise, the rumoured Panasonic GH4, or 4K GH has been revealed.  No real specs have been revealed as of yet.  The show floor has one behind plexi, and is obviously a GH3 with a sticker.  What is the final spec and form factor going to be?  Likely very close to the existing GH3, but with Ultra HD goodness.  The sticker price is reported to be below $2000 and will be available next month.

Sony also has a consumer/prosumer offering in a traditional handycam palm style FDR-AX100 at around $2000 retail as well. Sony expects this to be available in the March time frame.

On the display side, Dell, Lenovo, Polaroid and a slew of Asian brands have announced sub $1000 4K televisions.  Delivery wise, there are some upscaling Blu-Ray players that will who off your Lord of the Rings collection, and with Netflix and YouTube streaming 4K already, you can take advantage of that resolution.

So are you ready for 4K, or just sitting on the fence?
